How IoT puts the Agricultural supply chain on autopilot

“Give me a fulcrum and a lever and I can move the earth” — Archimedes

Not so fast, Archimedes

Archimedes makes it sound easy, it hardly is, moving things requires more than brute force, if you’re lucky enough to have the time… Moving perishables is even harder, Fruits go bad, the whole ‘rotten egg in a basket’ issue. You don’t want that.

How do we fix this?

We can monitor the status of the payload to identify faulty batches without interrupting logistics, by installing temperature and humidity sensors in the refrigerated storage, we can be notified of the produce’s status in transit. Tillage is reconstructing the agricultural supply chain running on blockchain with remote quality management and plenty more.

You mentioned autopilot

With remote quality monitoring, we can expect an untampered chain from garden to shelf piloting healthier and safer systems and a generally faster process. Picture a truck visiting the farmer who loads it and we seal it not to be tampered with, till the grocery store 5000 miles away. Pretty cool, huh!

In conclusion…

We can agree IoT gives us a lever, Tillage has decided to move agricultural produce around the earth with it.
